INTAGE Akihabara Building

INTAGE relocated its Head Office to the INTAGE Akihabara Building in Akihabara, Tokyo, on November 7, 2005, bringing together its headquarters, maketing, and solutions functions under one roof.

The INTAGE Akihabara Building is where we meet face-to-face with our clients and produce solutions with them. We welcomed over 230,000 clients to the INTAGE Akihabara Building in the first year after it opened.

The building represents a new concept in office space. It allows our staff to harness the creativity that comes from working with each other and with our clients so that we may arrive at effective solutions in the shortest time possible.

Unified Concept

We regard the INTAGE Akihabara Building as more than a physical space in which people work. The new building has given us an opportunity to review and reshape the entire way the INTAGE Group does business, including the services we offer our clients and the way our staff work.

We revised our management organization in April 2005, dispensing with a setup based on discrete divisions in favor of a more flexible matrix organization. We also launched an internal project to reform our workstyle, which we call the “I-Style Project.” These reforms, along with the relocation of our Head Office to the INTAGE Akihabara Building, are being carried out under a unified concept.

Our aim is to base all our operations on the consolidation of the skills and knowledge of the INTAGE Group in providing solutions to our clients.

Work Environment

Our clients expect performance of the highest caliber even as the INTAGE Group faces an increasingly complex information environment. This has convinced us of the need to change our workstyle to meet these demands while also fulfilling our social responsibilities as an information service company.

The INTAGE Akihabara Building has an advanced communications environment created using the latest IT infrastructure, and an environment conducive to collaborative work thanks to a system of unassigned workplaces. At the same time, we have ensured tight security and introduced environmentally friendly work practices, such as reduced paper use.

We call this new workstyle the “I-Style”. It has been extended to our other offices since the relocation of our Head Office and is in a state of continuous evolution.

Information Protection

The INTAGE Group has acquired Japan’s PrivacyMark accreditation and carries out a range of measures to ensure the protection of personal information and maintain the confidentiality of our clients. The INTAGE Akihabara Building has a number of systems in place, such as office zoning and information filing, to further increase our information security.

Environmental Activities

All INTAGE Group offices in Japan are taking part in the national government’s Team Minus 6% campaign, which aims to cut greenhouse gas emissions by 6%.

We regard reducing the environmental impact of our business operations as an important task in reforming our workstyle, and we are therefore implementing measures at all offices to reduce the burden on the environment. This includes setting up a reuse corner for recyclables, encouraging reduced paper use, and turning off all lights in the building after 8 p.m.
